How Solar PV Works
Solar Photovoltaic (PV) technology harnesses energy from sunlight and converts it into usable electricity. When sunlight strikes the PV panels, it generates direct current (DC) electricity, which is then routed through an inverter to convert it into alternating current (AC)—the standard form of electricity used in homes, businesses, and industrial applications.
The AC power is distributed via a dedicated solar breaker, seamlessly integrating with the property’s electrical system to provide clean, renewable energy.
A comprehensive Solar PV system typically includes high-performance panels, an inverter, battery storage, a generation meter, and, where required, an export limiter to manage energy flow back to the grid.
With extensive experience in delivering large-scale solar installations across the UK, Nexus Contracts designs and delivers bespoke PV systems engineered for maximum efficiency, reliability, and return on investment. Our solutions are tailored to meet the energy needs of both residential and commercial clients, supporting long-term sustainability goals at scale.
